'The Archaic Mother' and 'Certain Uncertainty'

MA Final Project- 'Untitled Dreamscape'

Project Overview
'A Different Kind of War', December 2024- This project was a cross-disciplinary collaboration, which premiered at the Imperial War Museum North alongside a series of other student works. I provided sound design work, edited interview recordings, and mixed the final project for the 32-channel speaker array at the museum.
'The Archaic Mother' and 'Certain Uncertainty', March 2025- For this project, I learnt how to live-code music with SuperCollider, via the TidalCycles interface. These pieces were recorded live and created with samples taken from a series of sci-fi films and video games, namely The Fly, Videodrome, Tetsuo II: Bodyhammer, Antiviral, The Last of Us, and Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.
Art School Live, May 2025- I was involved in MMU's 2025 Art School Live gig, where I was responsible for set-up and takedown, manning the live mixing desk, and assisting junior sound team members.
'Untitled Dreamscape', September 2025- 'Untitled Dreamscape' was a collaborative final project with animator Sam Butterworth, in which I conducted research into sounds and music heard while dreaming and built three separate soundscapes based off research findings. The soundscapes and effects were implemented directly into three separate levels within an Unreal project, which used Kinect motion sensors to enable participants to move around a virtual space by moving their bodies physically.
